Ingredients

Scale

Spicy Chicken

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, sliced into strips
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Creamy Garlic Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1½ cups heavy cream (or half-and-half for a lighter version)
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Ramen Bowl

  • 2 packs ramen noodles (discard seasoning packets)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • ½ cup sliced green onions
  • ½ cup shredded carrots (optional, for crunch)
  • 1 soft-boiled egg, halved (for topping)
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Nori strips, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate & Cook the Spicy Chicken: In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, smoked paprika, chili powder, cayenne pepper, and black pepper. Add the sliced chicken strips and toss well to coat evenly. Allow the chicken to marinate for 10 minutes while you prepare the sauce. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook the marinated chicken for 5-6 minutes until it turns golden brown and is fully cooked through. Remove from heat and set aside.
  2. Make the Creamy Garlic Sauce: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and sauté the minced garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant but not browned. Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring constantly to combine. Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Let the mixture simmer gently for 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy, then remove from heat.
  3. Cook the Ramen Noodles: Bring a large pot of water to a rolling boil. Cook the ramen noodles according to the package instructions until tender but still firm. Drain well and toss the noodles with 1 teaspoon sesame oil to prevent sticking and add flavor. Set aside.
  4. Assemble the Ramen Bowls: Divide the cooked ramen noodles evenly into serving bowls. Spoon generous amounts of the creamy garlic sauce over the noodles. Top with the spicy cooked chicken strips, sliced green onions, shredded carrots if using, and a halved soft-boiled egg. Garnish with sesame seeds and nori strips for texture and visual appeal. Serve immediately while hot and enjoy the rich and spicy flavors.

Notes

  • Adjust cayenne pepper and red pepper flakes to control the spiciness according to your preference.
  • For a lighter sauce, substitute the heavy cream with half-and-half.
  • You can prepare soft-boiled eggs in advance by boiling for 6-7 minutes and cooling in ice water before peeling.
  • Discard ramen seasoning packets to reduce sodium and use your own seasoning in the sauce.
  • Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms for extra nutrition and flavor.
