Ingredients

Scale

Sliders

  • 12 King’s Hawaiian dinner rolls
  • ½ lb deli sliced ham
  • ½ lb sliced salami
  • ¼ lb sliced pepperoni
  • 12 slices provolone cheese
  • ¼ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 roma tomatoes, chopped
  • ½ red onion, chopped
  • ½ cup sliced pepperoncini peppers, drained
  • 1 ½ cups shredded lettuce

Butter Mixture

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons dijon mustard
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent cheese from sticking and make cleanup easier.
  2. Prepare Rolls: Using a bread knife, slice the 12 dinner rolls horizontally but keep them connected for easy assembling. Place the bottom half of the rolls flat on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Layer Ingredients: On the bottom half of the rolls, layer the ham first, then the salami, followed by pepperoni. Add a layer of provolone cheese over the meats, sprinkle ¼ teaspoon of Italian seasoning evenly, then top with chopped roma tomatoes, red onions, and drained pepperoncini peppers. Place the top halves of the rolls back on. (If you want warm lettuce, add now; otherwise, wait until after baking.)
  4. Make Butter Spread: In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine butter, dijon mustard, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Microwave for about 10 seconds just until the butter is melted. Stir well to blend the ingredients.
  5. Brush Topping: Evenly brush the prepared butter mixture over the tops of the slider rolls. Sprinkle grated parmesan cheese on top for added flavor.
  6. Bake Sliders: Tent the sliders loosely with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, until the cheese melts and the flavors meld. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes if you want the tops golden and toasted.
  7. Add Lettuce & Serve: Remove the sliders from the oven, lift the top buns, and add the shredded lettuce if you saved it for freshness and crunch. Replace the tops and serve the sliders warm for best taste.

Notes

  • Using King’s Hawaiian rolls adds a unique sweet and soft contrast to the savory filling.
  • Adjust the amount of pepperoncini peppers according to your preferred spice level.
  • For a vegetarian version, substitute deli meats with grilled vegetables and omit the meats.
  • Sliders can be assembled ahead of time and refrigerated before baking to save time.
  • Adding lettuce after baking keeps it crisp and fresh.
