Instructions

  1. Sauté Mushrooms: Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced mushrooms and sauté for 8-10 minutes until browned and tender. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute to release its aroma.
  2. Add Creamy Ingredients: Reduce heat to low. Add cream cheese and sour cream to the skillet, stirring continuously until both are melted and fully combined into a smooth mixture.
  3. Incorporate Cheeses: Stir in half of the shredded mozzarella cheese along with all the grated Parmesan cheese. Mix well until the dip becomes creamy and well blended.
  4. Bake the Dip: Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese evenly on top of the dip. Transfer the skillet to a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C). Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the dip is bubbly and golden brown on top.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Remove the dip from the oven and garnish with freshly chopped thyme or parsley. Serve hot with bread, crackers, or vegetable sticks for dipping.
